For the fourth time since opening its doors five years ago, the Emporium Hotel has won the prestigious Best Boutique hotel in Australia award in a glittering celebration at the National HM Awards for Excellence 2012. The Hospitality Management Awards are considered widely as the award of awards and to win that four times in five years is no mean feat especially when the race to the top spot was won by beating such established names as Spicers Balfour, Diamant Canberra, Henry Jones Art Hotel, The Establishment and The Observatory.
Off late, boutique hotels have been winning the hearts and the minds of travelers the world over. The fact that the Emporium Hotel won it four times in five years (since they started operating from June 2007) only makes it that much more relevant. It is also a huge boost for Brisbane and the whole Queensland. The Emporium Hotel has made it a habit of sorts to win accolades and awards. It has won the award for being one of the best new hotels in the world at the International Conde Nast Travellers Hotlist. It has also won at the Gourmet Traveller Awards, the Queensland and Australian Hotels Association Awards and the Queensland Tourism Awards.
General Manager Peter Savoff of the Emporium Hotel was unequivocal in his comments when he said that the credit goes to the entire staff of the hotel for their untiring efforts and their commitment towards guest satisfaction. He also took the opportunity to thank all the people behind this achievement. But he was also very categorical when he mentioned that despite the awards and the recognitions that they have received, the ultimate award and the yardstick of measurement of their performance is of course the satisfaction of the guests.
Ever since the Emporium Hotel opened its doors for their guests it has been all about offering the best and regularly out performing what their competition is offering. For example the hidden cocktail bar in the lobby that offers a delectable choice of vintage and other custom designed pieces together with a marvelous choice of cocktail menu. Guests can also order, through their concierge, a choice of experiences including dining, shopping and massage. Being conveniently located within a few minutes walking distance from the Brisbane CBD; and within an area that offers every bit of frenzy for lovers of good food, good wine and a satisfying shopping experience, the hotel is a must visit for travelers who want to splurge. Finally when tired of shopping and dining, the cruise terminal is just nearby to complete a memorable vacation.
