Several complimentary Polar Photography Workshops are being organized by Aurora Expeditions in Antarctica and the High Arctic regions in 2013. Photographers from every level can benefit form these tremendous opportunities by getting to know the tips and tricks of how great photos are taken in demanding conditions. They can also learn immensely from shooting with and learning from the experience of some of the most gifted polar photographers in Joshua Holko and Daniel Bergmann. Joshua is Australia’s only Moab Master photographer and Daniel has been a pro wildlife and nature photographer for years. The best thing is these outdoor photography workshops are accredited by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and by Canon a worldwide leader in manufacturing professional cameras and accessories.
The polar sojourn begins on top of the Polar Pioneer, which can accommodate 54 adventurers along with several other expedition experts, including historians and naturalists. Thankfully the Polar Pioneer apart from being a small ship comes with a number of zodiacs and crews. This means there is going to be a favorable ratio of staff to passengers allowing each passenger to shoot at his hearts content never worrying about lack of hospitality or space for his camera gear.
The Antarctic photography voyage is from 9 to23rd November 2013. Price per person is US$9990. The 14 days and nights of this trip is going to include some of the most breathtaking spots in Antarctica along with a chance to meet face to face with a diverse number of wildlife. The voyage will start at Ushuaia and then end at the Falkland Islands. Regions which are normally inaccessible for general tourists and which can only be accessed by scientists and researchers will also be accessible on this trip due to special permissions. Some of the fantastic spots that are going to mesmerize the photo-adventurers are Lemaire Channel, the Gerlache Strait and the Deception Island which is known for its geothermal activities.
