Jetstar and Air Canada team up

Australia’s QANTAS owned budget airline, Jetstar, has teamed up with Air Canada to allow travellers express routes to the northern country.

Travellers will be able to join connecting flights to Vancouver, Toronto and Quebec City via Honolulu, Hawaii.

Executive Manager Commercial of Jetstar, David Koczkar, said that customers now have the ability to book single fares that fly to Canada, instead of multiple fares. The advantage of the single booking system is expected to be financially beneficial to Jetstar and would open up new avenues for the Australian provider.

As a promotional offer, Air Canada is offering a discounted fare of $2,410 for travel between Vancouver and Sydney (including taxes), as long as there is at least one stop-over in Honolulu.

While the fares are a bargain for travellers, they are only available through travel agents and run as a special offer from the 30th of April, through to the 31st of December, 2010.
