British Airways has roped in internationally acclaimed actor Orlando Bloom to make a special appearance at an event in Sydney to celebrate the airline’s latest array of service improvements. The event is slated to be held sometime in May, though no further details have been released as to the exact date for the same.
Mr. Bloom mentioned that he was thrilled to be a part of the upcoming event in May and welcome the launch of the Boeing 777-300ER from Sydney. He admitted, that as a frequent flyer himself he simply loves the hospitality and generous array of services on board the British Airway’s first class cabin.
Nicole Backo, British Airways Regional General Manager, South West Pacific, mentioned that Orlando Bloom with his quintessential British style, glamour and elegance is the perfect manifestation of everything that British Airways stands for – a perfect full service airline. She also mentioned that the airline is looking forward to having Mr. Bloom in their event in Sydney later in May and then as a brand ambassador for the London-Sydney route.
Ms. Backo also said that British Airways is incredibly proud of its heritage in Australia and the recent upgradations to their service offerings are something that puts them in a better position to cater to the growing demands of their valued Australian customers.
As of April 2013, all travellers flying British Airways between Sydney and London will be flying the latest and greatest aircraft the Boeing 777-300ER with all new cabins. Additionally all services will now go straight to Terminal 5 at Heathrow, London; the new award winning home of British Airways. Further, passengers travelling on the airlines will be able to seamlessly connect to an extensive network across Europe and the rest of UK.
For Australian passengers waiting to travel in style and enjoy the class leading services offered on board British Airways’ first class, a new limited offer special fare structure was also announced today. Starting at $9777, which includes taxes and surcharges, customers, will be able to travel from Sydney to London between May 4 and November 30, 2013 enjoying the refined British service on board the first class cabin. Bookings, however, have to be made by May 14th, 2013.
