For budding trekkers and mountaineers this does not get any better. Learn the tricks of trekking from none other than the grandson of the legendary Sherpa Tenzing Norgay; Tashi Tenzing. Tenzing Norgay along with Sir Edmund Hillary was the first successful climber of the highest peak in the world, Mt.Everest back in 1953. Tashi Tenzing has himself climbed the highest peak in the world three times and has the first hand knowledge of how to climb and trek in the Himalayas of Nepal and Bhutan.
Tashi has been invited by Aurora Expeditions as a part of the celebrations to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the first successful ascent of Mt.Everest and to promote their latest trek itineraries.
As a part of celebrations a series of sessions will be conducted in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne wherein Tashi Tenzing will be taking guests through an illustrative journey into the world of trekking detailing the fantastic attractions that one can expect in Bhutan and Nepal on one of the amazing trekking itineraries of Aurora Expeditions. He will also be sharing insightful details about the amazing world of a Sherpa and share stories from the eventful history of the Tenzing family.
Aurora Expedition will also be promoting some of their other amazing itineraries including those in Antarctica, the European Arctic and the Kimberly coast. Each of the events will kick off with a short presentation dedicated to these other itineraries that Aurora Expedition offers.
