The Sebel and Citigate Albert Park receives $1.5m revamp


Melbourne’s iconic The Sebel and Citigate Albert Park has just finished a $1.5m makeover that has seen the Grand Ballroom take a new lease on life.

Seating up to 900 people for a banquet, the Grand Ballroom has previously hosted top-name events such as the Logies, the AFL Brownlow Medal Count and many other high-profile events.

The hotel’s General Manager, Craig Bond told media:

The decision was made to upgrade the Grand Ballroom after an analysis of competitors and cost analysis of upgrading all existing technology.

The end result, costing over $1.5m includes over 300 new wireless access points, a fibre optic backbone, ISDN lines, panoramic screens, digital broadcast capabilities and fully programmable table pin spots.
