Queensland hotel gets the 6-star treatment

Proposed Jupiters Site

The future Jupiters Resort

You want opulence, celestial grandeur and comfort, that’s exactly what the current Broadbeach Hotel in Queensland is aiming to give you or, at least, that’s the plan.

Jupiters Gold Coast is preparing to build a 6-star, deluxe and plush hotel, by planning a massive do-up and reconstructive surgery for the old Broadbeach Hotel.

The project worth hundreds of millions of dollars, will upgrade:  the already lush gardens, beautify the current casino complex and hotel, re-design 75 swanky rooms which will include luxurious suites with private balconies, add infinity pools and, create a leisure quarter complete with shops, restaurants and bars.

If the project is authorized to move forward, work will begin sometime in mid 2014 with a finishing point in 2016.

The Jupiters Gold Coast project will be the second of its kind for Australia.  Sol Kerzner, a South African billionaire, intends to pay out upwards of $50 million to build a 6-star lavish resort on Queensland’s Hayman Island.
