Whoever said ‘beauty is only skin deep’ may have been on to something. The website LoveRoom was created to allow “single people who travel often (or once in a blue) a place to stay where they might find love or sex,” so says the creator of LoveRoom, Josh Bocanegra.
The site which its tag line boast ‘instead of just looking for a place to stay LoveRoom lets you find interesting people to stay with,’ was inspired by the site Airbnb, where individuals referred to as “hosts”, rent unoccupied living space and other short-term lodging to guests.
Mr. Bocanegra wanted to take the idea to the next level by offering travellers, not only a place to stay but possible romance to boot. The service which is free to sign-up, allows the client to scout out potential mates by age, sexual orientation and gender. Once a match is made, then the fun part begins as negotiation for accommodations kick off.
Though over 3,800 people have already enlisted LoveRoom’s assistance, the site is still a work in progress but should be fully operational by February 2014.
Mr. Bocanegra is a businessman from Los Angeles, California (USA).
