Cruise Passenger Magazine Announces the Winners of the Reader’s Choice Awards 2013

The winners of the prestigious Reader’s Choice Awards 2013 has been announced by Cruise Passenger magazine. For the Australian cruise industry the Cruise Passenger magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards has been a beckon of sorts, providing an extremely important insight.

With choices more than doubling, the need for a genuine review of the service offered and the experiences gained aboard these cruises has become extremely important.

In this dynamic environment Cruise Passenger and with more than 15 years of dedicated publishing experience in the cruise industry and its 56,000 strong readership with their thousands of comments and reviews assumes a critical position.

The Cruise Passenger’s Reader’s Choice Awards are an attempt to identify and appreciate those honest feedbacks from its huge readership, awarding the best performing cruise businesses in the industry. It is worth the while to mention that the awards are one of the world’s most comprehensive, covering everything from ships to ports and from luxury to adventure.

Despite the dominance of some of the most popular faces in the Australian cruise industry, this year has seen some new faces trying to establish their identities among the biggies; such as Seaborn and Cunard.

There were some close fights too worth mentioning. A pitched battle between P&O and Royal Caribbean finally resulted in P&O winning the award for the best mid-range cruise line (Royal Caribbean came second). Radiance of the Seas won the award for the best mid-range cruise ship (P&O’s Pacific Dawn settled for the second spot).

The Best Luxury Cruise Ship category saw another battle, this time between Seabourn and Silversea and the battle for the adventure segment saw a fight between Silversea and Orion.

The Best River Cruise Line award went to Australia’s Scenic Tours and the award for the best river cruise ship went to APT’s AmaBella.
