When bunnies attack!

Maybe Nicolas Cage was on to something when he uttered those famous words from the movie Con AirPut the bunny back in the box.”

The first video above, which was taken of a little girl on the Japanese island of Okunoshima, off the coast of Takehara, captures an animated youngster running to set up a feeding frenzy for, of all things, bunnies!

Apparently, for the duration of World War II, 8 bunnies were shipped to the island to experiment with mustard gas.

The top-secret trials were unknown for 16 years with 10 strongholds built around the island to guard its precious, furry allies.

Over the years, the bunnies ‘got busy’ and populated the island, driving locals to rename the isle “Rabbit Island.”
