Cathay Pacific - 1

One passenger will never forget his eventful 15-hour flight to Hong Kong, that is, after his middle finger became trapped in the lavatory trash can.

According to the South China Morning Post, a man travelling on a Cathay Pacific flight from Newark, U-S, suffered minor injuries after his finger became lodged in the trash bin after attempting to throw away rubbish.

The accident occurred an hour before the flight was to touch down.

Forced to stand for an hour in the tiny bathroom, the man, 32, was freed once the plane landed and firefighters were able board and release his hand from the bin.

The airline has been contacted for a statement but they refused to comment.
