drinking with friends

There’s no better way to bond with new friends or welcome a new family member into the fold than to do it over drinks. Depending upon your heritage, enjoying a libation or two could be a bit of a process.

Along with culture comes tradition which means in order to receive acceptance from the folks you’re drinking with, you should take it upon yourself to learn their drinking customs.

For instance, in Italy, Italians only drink wine or water with their meals. Beer or sodas are considered a big no-no. In China, during the toast, elders hold their glasses higher, the first drink is downed in one and the glasses upturned on the table to show nothing remains.
