Jessica Mauboy to headline the 2016 Santos Tour Down Under concert


Jessica Mauboy is going to perform on the first day of the 2016 Santos Tour Down Under. She will headline the free concert of the international cycling event.

The concert will be held on Saturday, January 16, in the redeveloped Victoria Square, Adelaide, following the Team Presentation, which will be started from 6pm.

The ARIA award-winning artist has sold over two million albums worldwide so far. She will be a perfect fit for the concert where she will perform all her crowd favourites. The talented singer-songwriter, who is globally recognized for her witty and hard-working attitude, also expressed her desire to return to South Australia. She said she could not wait to be a part of the renowned cycling event.

According to the press release published by the South Australian Tourism Commission, two cycling legends Paul Sherwen and Phil Liggett will introduce the participating teams on-stage from 6pm. They will also interview the crowd favourites.

A total of 20 international cycling teams will take part in the Santos Tour Down Under (from 16 to 24 January), which is the opening race of the UCI WorldTour in 2016. The competition is divided into six stages where the participating teams will cover more than 780 kilometres across South Australia from Fleurieu Peninsula’s Victor Harbor to Barossa Valley’s Lyndoch.
