The soon-to-be-opened North Deck will occupy 10,000 square metres and stretch 100 metres into the Arabian Gulf. Featuring an eco-friendly design, the deck has an 828-square-metre salt water pool, a 612-square-metre fresh water pool, 400 sun loungers, 32 cabanas, a restaurant, a bar, and an artificial reef. It will offer the guests spectacular views of the city and ocean and a shade for marine life.
A Swiss marine constructed company named ADMARES built the deck off-site in six sections. The 5000-tonne structure is supposed to be transported to Dubai by sea in mid-February. Due to its enormous size, the deck’s installation will require retrieving land from the ocean.
