Jupiters Gold Coast unveils innovative entrance lighting design

Jupiters Gold Coast has lifted the curtain on a very novel and ingenious lighting design, which is going to beautify the landscape of this casino & hotel sitting on an island in Dunlops Canal.

The lighting design features thousands of lights mounted to the iconic palm trees at the property’s entrance. The display has been designed in such an innovative and artistic way that it has simply transformed into a demonstration of technology meets art. The 10-metre high and 20-metre wide artwork looking like a 3D digital screen is going to amuse and entertain the visitors and guests as a permanent living art installation.

Jupiters Gold Coast has been going through a huge overhaul worth of $345 million and the lighting display is a part of that renovation project. Geoff Hogg, the Queensland Managing Director at the Star Entertainment, said that the artistic lighting display is surely to impress the visitors and guests.

The lighting design is the outcome of a collaborative project carried out by Stowe Australia, an electrical and communications company, and Ramus, a specialist lighting design company. Besides, at least 20 specialists from the related fields contributed to the project.

Bruce Ramus, the Creative Director and Designer of Ramus, said that they are proud of being a part in the creation of that luminous artwork that is going to complement the wide natural landscape of the property.

The first-of-its-kind lighting design is environmentally sustainable with advanced technology that will ensure low power consumption and reduce carbon emissions and operating costs. Plus, the project in no way will cause any harm to the palm trees.

The renovation project of the Jupiters Gold Coast is supposed to be completed before the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. A new six-star all-suite hotel tower will be constructed and the approximately 600 existing hotel rooms will be renovated as a part of the project.
