Le Meridien opens third hotel in Putrajaya, Malaysia


Le Méridien has taken their growing venture in Malaysia one-step further with the opening of another luxurious hotel, Le Méridien Putrajaya. It’s the third property of the international hotel brand in Malaysia.

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, which is currently a part of the American hotel and leisure company Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., opens a new hotel with all of their signature amenities. Located in the heart of Putrajaya, the beautiful hotel emulates a beautiful and impressive mid-century modern design.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide’s Regional Vice President of Southeast Asia, Charlie Dang, said that they are hoping to change the concept of traditional urban hotel stay for the growing influx of visitors in Malaysia with their deluxe 5-star hotel experiences.

The two other Le Méridien hotels currently operating in Malaysia are Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu and Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur. Mr Dang hoped that their third hotel would also be able to attract both business and leisure travellers through serving them with the country’s unique culture, art, and cuisine.

Le Méridien Putrajaya opens with 353 modern guestrooms and suites designed after a classic European style mixed with local motifs and craftsmanship. It has a wonderful lobby, a grand ballroom, a swimming pool a kid’s pool, a fitness centre, 2 world-class in-house eateries, and 15 venues for conferences, business meetings, and social gatherings.

The hotel lobby welcomes the guests with the experience of the much-acclaimed Le Méridien Hub. It’s a concept that mixes up eh idea of a social gathering place into a traditional hotel lobby. Guests will enjoy soundtracks curated by Nouvelle Vague, the brand’s award-winning coffee culture, different types of appetizing éclairs, and exclusive illy coffee prepared by Master Baristas at the lobby.
