Shoalhaven has become the host of the prestigious Surf Dive ‘N Ski Australian Junior Titles in 2017. It means that the country’s best junior surfers will head to the idyllic region next year to take part in the prestigious competition.

Shoalhaven City Council, Surfing Australia, and Surfing NSW have been working together with the NSW Government through Destination NSW – the tourism and major events agency of the state government – to make the event successful and stellar.

Amanda Findley, the Mayor of Shoalhaven City Council, said that they are happy and proud to be the host of the prominent surfing competition. She hoped that the participants and their families would thoroughly enjoy the beauty of the city along with the Culburra Beach in Jervis Bay where the competition will take place.

He also praised the region as a jewel of the NSW South Coast, and hoped that competitors from all across Australia would enjoy their stay in that iconic region.

Shelley Hancock, a member for South Coast, pointed to the boost local businesses are going to experience. Hundreds of visitors will travel to the area to watch the competition, which is good news for the local restaurants, cafes, and businesses.
