Have you any plan to visit Nashville this year? Well, you might be interested making a short trip to the Tennessee capital and the home to the legendary country music venues because Keith Urban is going to perform at Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve! Do you need any more excuse to hop on to a plane to Nashville?
The Australian country music singer will headline the event. The rest of the line-up also includes many famous names including indie band Moon Taxi, American country singer Charlie Worsham, local rock band A Thousand Horses, musical group Fisk Jubilee Singers, and the legendary rock band Styx. The free public event is open for all.
Urban, the four-time Grammy winner, sounded excited at the opportunity of spending the New Year’s Eve in downtown Nashville. According to him, there could not be any better way to ring in 2017.

Urban, who has recently received four CMA nominations, has produced many top charts during his career. He delivered 36 consecutive top 10 songs on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart, which was the highest for any artist, and recorded 21 No. 1 songs. He is also the first and only country singer to serve as a judge in the popular singing reality show American Idol.
The Chairman of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC), Beth Seigenthaler Courtney, said that the event’s diverse line-up highlights the true spirit of the Music City. According to her, such a line-up that embraces every genre from indie to rock to country, and every musician from big stars to rising talents is only possible in a Nashville city event.
The event drew a record 150,000 spectators last year, contributing $22.2 million to the local economy from direct visitor spending. The organisers are expecting more people to join the music event this year.
The venue has been shifted from Lower Broadway to Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park this year. The event will be opened at 4 p.m. amid enhanced security and enthusiastic spectators. Get more information from visitmusiccity.com/newyearseve.
