Holiday season is approaching fast, and people are busy looking for their possible travel destinations and making tour plans. Various tourist organisations have already stepped up to capitalize on the holiday frenzy. Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (VAAAC) has also stepped their game up and published a list of some of the latest attractions and experiences.
People, who love classic literature and Shakespeare, must not miss this event! The event First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare is currently going on, lasting between November 1 and December 4. Maryland’s St. John’s College is hosting the event in collaboration with the Annapolis Shakespeare Company (ASC).
Literature buffs have another reason to be delighted as the Annapolis Shakespeare Company has relocated in a new address, 1804 West Street, and is going to open its doors officially from January 27, 2017. The new facility is almost triple the size of its current location in the Design District.
Three new restaurants had their grand opening this year and added to the already diverse food and dining scenario of the city. Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is offering their signature menu with wines produced in their private winery. Rice Workshop is a cosy, casual restaurant at 138 Main Street, serving delicious Vietnamese street food. Besides, the renovated Rams Head Dockside at 1702 Furnace Drive in Glenn Burnie offers the guests a combo of palatable dishes and beautiful views of the Patapsco River.
The city has also added three new names to its inventory of luxurious hotels. The Cordish Companies introduced their flagship hotels Live! Hotel and Live! Lofts in the Anne Arundel County. Both the hotels are luxurious and feature many state-of-the-art facilities. Besides, the newly opened Home2 Suites by Hilton Arundel Mills BWI Airport offers spacious suites with flexible layout options.
In addition, Annapolis has added venues, retail shops, and new services such as Sadona Salon and Spa, Annapolis Urban EvenTour, and more to its inventory of new attractions.
Visit Annapolis offers more details about these new events and attractions.
