The Chobe Game Lodge in Botswana announced launching a new website and a modified logo on Thursday, March 2, 2017. The rebranding announcement comes just before the ITB 2017, the largest travel trade show in the world.
This year, Botswana is official partner country of ITB Berlin 2017, which is going to be held from March 8 to 12, 2017. It’s the first ever Southern African country to be the host of the prestigious travel trade show.
The redesigned logo focuses on the elements that make the Chobe Game Lodge unique. An elephant takes centre stage in the new logo, highlighting the fact that the country is the home of the highest concentration of those gentle giants in Africa. The logo also features the Chobe River and the word ‘1973’, referring to the establishing year of the lodge.
The lodge is also rolling out a sweeping change in their in-lodge marketing material. The company has given a whole new look to the lodge’s room key cards, farewell cards, and in-room information folders.
The Business Development Manager of the Chobe Game Lodge, James Wilson, said that they wanted to catch the evolution of the property in their branding materials. He continued saying that their aim was to craft all the elements in a way so that all the guests feel special the moment they arrive at the lodge.
The lodge will show all of its redesigned marketing materials along with the new logo in the ITB 2017. The website, a couple of video clips, new factsheets, and the illustrations of room layouts will be rolling out throughout 2017.
Jonathan Gibson, the CEO of the Chobe Game Lodge, hoped that they would receive a record number of guests this year. Indicating to the high demand of Botswana in the global tourism market, Mr Gibson said that the lodge was offering those kinds of unique and exclusive safari experiences sought by the travellers these days.
