Virgin Australia to launch direct flights from Melbourne to Los Angeles

Virgin Australia is going to bring a touch of Los Angeles to Melbourne!

The second largest airline in Australia will officially launch direct flights from Melbourne to Australia in April this year. However, before boarding on the flights, people will get a taste of LA in this year’s Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF). The airline will arrange for many extraordinary events and activities to give the fashion-goers a glimpse of their newest service and to highlight the most popular travel destinations in the US West Coast.

The flights to LA will be Virgin Australia’s newest international route.

Inese Kingsmill, the Chief Marketing Office of Virgin Australia, said that their customers could now travel to North America from Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney in non-stop flights. She further added that the guests at the VAMFF would get to see their award-winning service and some of the key attractions in LA.

The Virgin Australia VIP Runaway Bar at the VAMFF will host E.P. & L.P., the LA hotspot for Southeast Asian fare and rooftop drinks. Melissa Gadsden, the co-owner of the restaurant, will design the interior of the restaurant.

Grant Smillie, another co-owner of EP & LP and a celebrity DJ & model, will attend the fashion event and entertain the attendees as a guest DJ.

Luke Mangan, the resident chef of Virgin Australia, has already curated the menu for the VIP Runaway Bar, which is a marquee for the business people, models, designers, and celebrities going to the VAMFF. The dishes served at the event will be available in the Business Class menu of the airline’s new trans-Pacific flights.
