Luxurious superyacht Athena is up for sale for $70 million


How do you feel about buying a yacht, which is also one of the largest and most luxurious in the world? Well, you have to spend $70 million!

Jim Clark, an American billionaire, and his Australian model wife Kristy Hinze are currently the owners of the Athena superyacht. It was built in Netherlands’ Royal Huisman Shipyard in 2004. The three-storey, 90-metre long vessel has five cabins for 10 to 12 people and can accommodate 21 staff members.

The yacht has a spectacular dining room, media room, a huge main saloon, and a bridge deck. The master suite has its own spa, walk-in wardrobe, and a study. However, there’s plenty of additional storage space and a study area with floor to ceiling shelves for other guests.

So, if you have the money and a handful of bosom buddies, just grab the deal and set sail wherever you want to!

In an interview with the, a concern of the Boat International Media, in last August, Mr Clark said that he had decided to sell Athena because he owns too many boats. However, he stated that he had loved all the boats in his collection one way or another.

Mr Clark said that he’d miss Athena. However, he has plans to take to a couple of places on his bucket list in case if it hasn’t been sold. He wants the boat to accompany him to Madagascar to enjoy the incredible diving there and to South Africa or Seychelles.

The incredible boat collection of Mr Clark also has the famous yacht Comanche that was the winner of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race in 2015.
