Virgin Australia rewards the economy travellers with Economy X

Virgin Australia has launched Economy X, a game-changing product in Australia’s economy travel. The new service will be available across the entire network of Virgin Australia. It will give the customers more options about how they want to experience their travel in the air and on the ground.

The product Economy X is the first of its kind in the domestic market in Australia. People using the Virgin Australia economy services will now be able to enjoy more comfort and superior travelling experience.

The company has reconfigured its whole fleet of 75 Boeing 737 aircraft to introduce the new service. The Economy cabin’s first three rows of seats in those airplanes will have extra legroom. The service is expected to be set up and ready to roll out by the end of May.

John Thomas, Virgin Australia’s Group Executive, hoped that their guests would receive the new service positively. He said that Economy X would give the customers more choices of customizing their travel experience.

The special services offered in Economy X include priority security screening, priority boarding, overhead locker space, and extra legroom. It replaces Economy Space+ on both Short and Long Haul International flights. The long haul flights offer all the features of domestic flights along with premium noise-cancelling headset and guaranteed first meal choice.

The new service goes on sale from March 31 and will be available for flights from May 21. You can book your seat through a travel agent or The members of Velocity Frequent Flyer Platinum can enjoy this product at free of charge.
