Switzerland to launch a climate neutral ship on Lake Lucerne

Switzerland has upped its game in the world’s shipping business scene by launching MS 2017, a climate neutral ship and the very first of its kind.

The MS 2017 will also be eco-friendly, following the introduction of the country’s first eco-friendly vessel Vedetta 1908, which started public services on Lake Lugano from 2016. Both the ships use solar and electric power for their operation.

The 1400sqm ship has five large decks. It has the Aqua Terrace, the Nautilus Cabin, the Compass Lounge and Bar, and the Panorama Deck. Besides, there are plenty of services for the passengers to enjoy their journey.

The ship has been launched for public service, but it will be available for exclusive booking too. It can arrange for 400 seats for hosting a banquet style event. So, you can book the ship for any private ceremony.
