Mantra Group has taken the guest safety to a new level across their 55 Queensland hotels and resorts. They have partnered with Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) to strengthen the safety measures in their premises.

SLSQ is a non-profit organization in South Brisbane that works for saving lives along the coastline of Queensland. The goal of the alliance is to depreciate the number of deaths in the waters to nil.

Tomas Johnsson, the Chief Operating Officer of Mantra Group, said that they had formed the alliance to increase the water safety of their guests. There will be dedicated SLSQ members to educate the visitors about the procedures to perform when they are surfing or doing other water activities.

Many of the BreakFree, Mantra, and Peppers properties are located along the coastline. Lots of tourists, both local and international, visit the State not only for enjoying the exciting water adventures but also the wonderful Great Barrier Reef.

With waters surrounding the properties, Mantra Group considers it their responsibility to make the visitors aware. Mr Johnsson said that they wanted the guests, especially the foreigners, to know that the safest spots for swimming are between the flags.

SLSQ is one of the leading and largest volunteer services in the country. It has more than 30,000 volunteers consisting of both professional and amateur lifeguards that offer their services at various surf clubs across the State.

John Brennan OAM, the Chief Executive Office of the organisation, sounded proud about their partnership with the Mantra Group. He hoped that it would help their members to reduce the number of drowning deaths in Queensland waters.
