The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has long been working toward making Thailand the most romantic destination in Asia Pacific. It took a leap to that goal by making a major partnership with Worldwide Events, a leading event planner company in the world, for the upcoming romance travel event Amour Asia Pacific.
The announcement came on October 5 where it has been confirmed that the two organisations will work together during the event going to take place in Thailand from February 14 to 17 next year.
Amour is targeted toward the luxurious romance travel market that will appeal the elite travellers looking for the perfect place for their honeymoon and wedding. The purpose of the event seems perfectly in line with TAT’s agenda to underline Thailand as a place for having splendid and majestic romantic experiences.
Yuthasak Supasorn, the Governor of TAT opened up about their strategic push to create a romantic image of Thailand and transform it into the best romance hub of Asia Pacific. According to him, they have already been working on several initiatives to achieve that goal.
A significant number of people visit Thailand for honeymoon and wedding ceremonies. Mr Supasorn hoped that the number would increase after the Amour event. It will highlight the country’s tourism hospitality, stunning landscape, and the luxury wedding venues. Besides, it will be a meeting place between renowned wedding planners and designers of romance traveling.
Describing Amour as a pioneering trade event, the CEO of Worldwide Events, Richard Barnes, said that the event would bring the most influential travel buyers of the world to Asia. He was also happy for Thailand being the host of the event because most of their buyers in the romance travel sector chose that country in the inaugural Amour – European Edition in 2017.
