What will be the first thought come to your mind after seeing a logo featuring a topless mermaid? Lots of adult fun on the sea! Yes, exactly. The Virgin Voyages has launched its first cruise ship and the logo suggests that it will be only for adults.
Tom McAlpin, the chief executive of Virgin Voyages, and Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group, announced the launch of the fleet’s first ship in an event in Italy’s Genoa. The cruise will set sail for its first trip in 2020. It will accommodate 2,700 passengers but none of them will be a child.

The press release confirmed that no one under the age of 18 will be allowed on board. It will feature an ‘Adult by Design’ theme along with plenty of surprises and premium experiences. Mr McAlpin said that the ship would provide the passengers thrilling daytime and nightlife activities.

The ship is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa. It will cover the route from Miami to the Caribbean during its first voyage. You can book a reservation now for $650, which is totally refundable.
Virgin Voyages will add more ships to the fleet. A couple of other cruises will join the first one in 2021 and 2022.
