The Luxury Collection to launch its first hotel in Tasmania

The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts announced on November 6 about the opening of its first hotel in Tasmania. The opening of The Tasman will sometime in later 2018.

The hotel will be a thorough renovation of a heritage building in Parliament Square. The Luxury Collection and JW Marriott’s Global Brand Leader, Mitzi Gaskins, thought that the new hotel would attract the international visitors looking for luxurious accommodation in Tasmania.

Mr Gaskins hoped that The Tasman, with its mixed charm of past history and the contemporary culture, would be a milestone for the brand’s presence in Australia. He was confident that the hotel would cement the brand’s position with its world-class hospitality blended with the indigenous Tasmanian experiences.

The Tasman will have 128 guest rooms and suites featuring modern luxurious facilities but without sacrificing some original features such as floorboards, windows, and fireplaces. Local artists will decorate the corridors with their artworks. The entire place will have touches of natural and local themes.

The guests will get high-end dining experiences featuring the tastes of both international and local cuisines. The lobby lounge, swank restaurant, and whiskey bar will give your tastebud a fine-dining treat.

The Luxury Collection, which is a part of Marriott International, Inc., is a brand that has a number of resorts and hotels in its inventory. It currently operates more than 100 luxury hotels in 30 countries and territories.
