The Sydney office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will host the next Amazing Thailand Roadshow. The annual event will take place in various major Australian cities from April 30 to May 7, 2018.
TAT has recently launched its brand new global marketing concept Open to the New Shades of Thailand at World Travel Market 2017 (WTM) London. The mission of the Roadshow will be to promote this concept further; thereby, focusing on the new sides of Thai tourism industry.
The marketing slogan refers to the hospitality of Thai people to all ‘shades’ of visitors from throughout the world. TAT’s tourism campaign next year will be about building a sustainable industry that that maintains an economical and environmental balance.
Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, H.E. Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, said that the campaign had particularly one specific goal in mind – promoting the country as a destination that has both attractive activities and quality products. She hoped that the positive marketing would encourage travellers to extend their length of stay, spend more, and come back for more.
This year, the Amazing Thailand campaign will work on 13 core niches including sports, green tourism, wedding & honeymoon, trade fairs, and more. Its focus will be on strategies that can be categorised into four segments – Sabai or Relaxing, Saneh or Charm, Sanook or Joy, and Sut Saep or Delicious.

Four Australian cities – Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth – will be the hosts of the next Roadshow. It serves as a great platform for Australian and New Zealand travel professionals to meet, share ideas and knowledge on Thailand’s tourism, and extend their network.
Tourism operators and hotel representatives from well-known Thai destinations and airlines including Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways will be present in all the events.
