Shanghai is quickly becoming a massive tourist destination for the discerning traveller.

Three new luxury hotels have debuted in Shanghai, making it a luxury hotel hotspot.

Waldorf Astoria

The Waldorf Astoria is a five star hotel set on the Bund and is near the Huangpu River, making it one of the most desirable addresses in town.

The incredible ballroom overlooks the river and can take up to 100 guests. Half of the 269 hotel rooms will overlook the Bund, with the portion being divided 249/20 respectively for rooms and suites.

Fairmont Peace Hotel

Also nestled on the Huangpu River, the Fairmont Peace Hotel is a completely restored and renovated version of its original self. It features fittings and decor for the early 20th century, making it the perfect getaway for historians.

The largest meeting space is 540 square metres and the hotel features a generous 270 guest rooms.

Ritz-Carlton Pudong

Located in the financial heart of the city, the Ritz-Carlton Pudong is a 270 room hotel that features some 1700 square metres of meeting space.

It will be the brand’s seventh hotel in China and the second in Shanghai. A rooftop bar on the 58th floor is one of the Ritz-Carlton’s main attractions, featuring capacity for 158 people.

It’s an exciting time for Shanghai, making it one of the best Asian regions to make the tourists trip card.
