New Zealand is ahead — again — in a poll by Telegraph Travel to determine the greatest country in the world.

Telegraph Travel gives this title annually, along with 13 other award categories that recognise the best destinations, travel companies and airlines around the world.

Those who vote for the Telegraph Travel Awards have the chance to win one of 27 dream holiday prizes worth a total of £1m.

The United States won the award in 2011, but for the past three years, New Zealand has come out on top.

Currently coming in second and third in the poll are the Maldives and South Africa, followed by Zamibia and Japan.

More than 20,000 have already casted their votes for the world’s best country. Should New Zealand take the lead this year?

If you’re a resident of the UK, you can cast your vote before February 14, 2016.
