Registration is open for the second Giro della Donna Gran Fondo event

The second annual Giro della Donna Gran Fondo is going to be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016, and CyclingTips and Limelight Sports happily invite everyone to join the event. The registration is currently open and the organisers are inviting the enthusiast cyclists to secure their spots.

Visit Yarra Valley is the sponsor of the event this year, and they are more than pleased to welcome all the participating cyclists back to the region. Surrounding by the Yarra River in Victoria, Yarra Valley is the region that boasts the closest Alpine climbs to Melbourne. The valley is also full of wineries, nature and adventure activities, and plenty of places to eat and shopping.

The organisers hope that the event this year will be nothing less thrilling than the one held last year. The cyclists will take the most stunning cycling routes in the country during the second Giro della Donna Gran Fondo, starting in Victoria’s township of Warburton and ending at the top of Mt. Donna Buang.

The finishing point at the Mt. Donna Buang top will give the cyclists a true experience of a mountaintop finish. The cyclists will be no lack of thrill and excitement, as the participants have to ride a 13km gravel section, a 20 km Reefton Spur ascent, and climb over 2,700 metres in the course of crossing the closed roads, which are more than 107km.

The route is challenging, and will be entertaining to both amateur and seasoned cyclists. After the well-organized first-year event in a great location, it can be expected that many cyclists will be interested to be a part of the second event.

If you want to book a spot for yourself, register now at because the sits are limited.
