St. Regis opens a luxury resort in Langkawi

St. Regis started its journey in Malaysia by opening the St. Regis Langkawi, a brand new luxury resort. By launching this property, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts – an ultra-luxury establishments in the major cities of different countries and resort destinations across the world – has provided the travellers the first luxury resort in a decade on the 100-odd island UNESCO-listed Langkawi archipelago.

Designed by interior experts GA Design and architects Gensler, the luxury resort has 4 villas and 85 suites, all of which offer unobstructed sea views. All the four villas are seated over water, with everyone featuring distinctive designs. The resort has a strip of white sand beach overlooking a huge swimmable lagoon featuring the view of Andaman Sea on the backdrop.

St. Regis Langkawi has been designed in a way so that it seamlessly blends with the surrounding marine environment. With an emphasis on Middle Eastern and European influences, the designers incorporate the colourful and vivid cultural history of Malaysia into the designs and decorations, featuring vast private courtyards and Islamic arches.

The resort provides accommodations for less than 100 people but it comes with six food and beverage outlets. Bill Bensley, famous landscape architect, has designed one of those outlets named Kayuputi, which features stunning antique collection combined with camel bone inlaid teak columns, century-old wooden doors, and more.
