On Monday, June 13, AccorHotels and Noosa Pacific Hotel Pty Ltd have signed an agreement for the rebranding of the iconic Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa.
According to the agreement, AccorHotels will take over the operations of the iconic Sunshine Coast resort and rebrand it under its famous Sofitel Hotels and Resorts brand. Under the new marketing policy, the resort took a new name Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort from June 13, 2016.
The rebranding of the 176-suite resort in Queensland is a part of Noosa Pacific’s ongoing multimillion-dollar renovation project that started in 2013. The extensive renovation project contributed much to solidifying the position of the hotel as one of the leading leisure and conference resorts in Australia.

Sofitel, the French hotel chain under AccorHotels, will renovate the Noosa Resort by introducing its unique style of collaborating French style of living with local culture. Guests at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort will have the unique experience of first-class amenities, top-notch food and wine selections, tailor-made services and everything will reflect local Noosa ambience with French touches.
Sofitel already has a number of luxury hotels in different Australian cities such as Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Melbourne but this resort will be its first resort in Australia. This new addition will strengthen AccorHotel’s already leading position as a luxury and upscale hotel operator in the Pacific region. It already owns 35 hotels under its different brands.
Simon McGrath, AccorHotels Pacific’s Chief Operating Officer, considered the Noosa Pacific Resort as a great addition to their grand portfolio because of its prime location in a popular domestic tourist destination. He also hoped that the Sofitel brand would help the resort to thrive successfully.
